Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
We never get tired of a good chocolate chip cookie recipe. This recipe is courtesy of one of our local restaurants. Kids and adults alike flock to the Little Nest for these goodies.
Trivia: Chocolate chip cookies were invented by accident, when a cook ran out of baker's chocolate and used a chopped up candy bar as a substitute. The bar did not melt completely and the chocolate chip cookie was born.
This chocolate chip cookie recipe is much improved if you use good quality chocolate.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
1 cup unsalted butter that has been allowed to reach room temperature.
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup golden brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 pound bittersweet chocolate
3 cups unsifted flour
Line your baking sheets with waxed paper.

In a separate bowl, combine your dry ingredients. Chop the chocolate, and add it to the dry ingredients.
Add the dry ingredients to the dough. Mix to combine, and then roll your cookie dough to form two logs. Wrap and refrigerate. When chilled, slice the log into cookie circles. Preheat the oven to 375°r; F and bake until done.
